Japanese Fried Chicken (Chicken Nanban)

Hey guys. 

Today, I gonna make Japanese fried chicken with sour soy sauce & tartar sauce (Chicken Nanban)

This is one of the Japanese traditional foods and can make easily overseas. 


<Ingredients: For 2 serving>

-Fried chicken- 

Chicken breast: 2〜3 

Flour: 5 tbsp 

Eggs: 2 

Pepper: some 

Oil 


-Tartar sauce- 

Eggs: 3 

Onion: ½ 

Mayonnaise: 3〜5tbsp 

Pickles: ½ (also you can use lemon juice instead of pickles) 


-Sour soy sauce- 

Soy sauce: 2tbsp 

Vinegar: 4tbsp 

Sesame seed oil: 1tsp 

Sugar: 2tbsp 


 Let’s cook! 

-Tartar sauce- 

(1) Make 3 hard boiled eggs; in the meantime, mince the onion. 


(2) Peal eggs and squash them by back of the fork and put them into a container with minced onion. 


(3) Add mayonnaise and lemon juice, and then mix. 


-Sour soy sauce- 

(1) Put all ingredients of sauce into heat-resisting container and pop it in the microwave 30 sec. 


(2) Put it in refrigerator until the chicken is fried. 


-Fried chicken- 

(1) Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and coat some pepper. 


(2) Put flour and eggs into separate containers and beat eggs. 

(3) Soak the chicken in beaten egg and coat flour. 


(4) Heat the oil to 170℃/340℉ (medium heat) and then deep fry the chicken. 


(5) Finally, soak the fried chicken in the sour soy sauce while chicken still hot. 


(6) Serve on them on dish and put some tartar sauce on chicken. 


(7) Eat…Eat…Eat ;) !!!
