Mocheese: モチーズ (Vegan Cheese)

Hey guys.

Today, I gonna make vegan cheese.

Mocheese


Mochiese is a coined word combining mochi (rice cake) + cheese ;)


<Ingredients>

Mochi (Rice cake): 100g

Any kind of milk (I used soy milk): 240g

Pine Nuts (If you want): 30g

Salt: 1 tsp

Oil: 60g (or 4 tbsp)

Sugar: 1/2 tbsp

Tapioka starch (I used corn starch): 80g


Let's Cook♬


(1) Cut the rice cake tiny pieces and simmer in a pot with milk until rice cake soften.



(2) Put the starch to pot and mix them well.


(3) Put all ingredients into mixer and stirred them well.


(4) Poured into a mold and steam it for 15〜20min.


(5) Cool down well in refrigerator.


(6) Remove from the mold and cut bite-size.


Done!!!

Even though it is cold, it's remains chewy.
